Academic Teams

 

Students qualify to participate on LEST Academic Teams in Science, Math, Spelling, Knowledge Bowl, and Chess.  On most teams, only one student per class is able to be on the team.  In Knowledge Bowl and Science, an additional team member is selected from any of the grades.  

 

Academic Team members will have practices in January and February to prepare for the event.  Coaches will contact participants to inform the when those practices will be.  The following individuals are the coaches:

 

Science - Mrs. Koen

Math - Mr. Newton

Spelling - Mrs. Mathison

Knowledge Bowl - Dr. Wood

Chess - Mr. Newton

Robotics - Mr. Newton

 

Academic team members need to wear navy blue polos and khaki pants when competing in their LEST event.
